Policy Influence
We are the voice of the voiceless on energy matters and generate evidence for evidence based lobbying to relevant authorities. We are the first organization to pilot and blue print the role of District Energy Officers.
Renewable Energy Technologies Installation
We are a Malawi Energy Regulatory Authority (MERA) licensed installer and supplier of renewable energy technologies of up to 3 phase grid tied installations.
Mini-grids development
We successfully deployed and now operates the Sitolo 80kW Solar Minigrids, Kaname Solar Micro grid and Nakatale Solar Energy Hub and are on course to develop mingrids in Malawi and Zambia to increase access to electricity for 210,000 people.
Energy Access Skills development
We believe in empowering citizens and inculcate an active citizenry that is able to generate own energy solutions as well as hold duty bearers to account We have produced Toolkit for Renewable Energy Technologies for Malawi, Community Toolkit for Sub Saharan Africa on Renewable Electricity for Productive Uses, Guide to Mainstreaming Energy in District Development Planning. We have trained local technicians supporting communities.

Minister of Energy Ibrahim Matola has encouraged Malawians to use alternative sources of energy apart from relying on the national grid. He made the remarks when he toured a solar mini-grid project site at Sitolo in Traditional Authority Mlonyeni in Mchinji District. Matola said people cannot only rely on power generated by ESCOM. Community Projects Malawi country director Edgar Kapiza-Bayani said the solar mini-grid has changed people’s lives in Sitolo, Molosiyo and Ndawambe villages. He said the coming in of solar energy has opened up economic opportunities for the people.
